Pink Goddess Smoothie

Smoothies have become my breakfast go to and I’m even enjoying them as a lunch replacement since I work in an office setting it helps me overcome the 2pm crash! What’s great is you have such variety to pick from when making a smoothie – veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, oats and even superfoods like acai, lucuma, maca, baobab. And then you’ve got your protein powders – pea protein, hemp protein.. And then your liquid of choice – nut milk, coconut milk or water and just plain old water!

I’ve been trying to create a dreamy looking smoothie for some time – one with awesome nutrients but has a fantastic soft color to it that just makes it look very desirable to drink!

This one is a sweet smoothie made with all fruit but I promise it still delivers so many vitamins and nutrients it’s ok to drink as a meal (or dessert) every once in a while.

The banana provides you with a great amount of potassium, which is awesome in supporting your nerve and brain function, Pineapple provides amazing amounts of Vitamin C for the body and can also help reduce inflammation. Mangos offer excellent amounts of Vitamin A which makes our skin beautiful and flavonoids like beta-carotene and alpha-carotene which can help the body protect from lung and oral cancers. Lastly Strawberries are incredibly high in antioxidants which help to prevent cell damage, which in turn helps to prevent issues like heart disease and diabetes.

Makes single smoothie:
1 Banana (preferably pre-frozen)
1 cup mixed frozen mango, pineapple & strawberry ( I get the organic mix pack at Costco)
1/2 cup almond milk
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp lucuma powder
1 tsp baobab powder

Sprinkle of bee pollen

Add all ingredients to blender and mix until smooth and creamy! Pour into cup, sprinkle with bee pollen and enjoy!
