I have to admit something to you readers out there: I made this smoothie by accident. I actually made the entire smoothie without cinnamon and only added the apple because I recently bought a big bag of organic apples and realized I needed to use them up pronto! Once I tasted this dream of a smoothie I thought: ‘it tastes like apple pie’! But it needed that little extra something so I added a pinch of cinnamon and we were good to go. I drank apple pie this morning, what did you have for breakfast?
But seriously, this smoothie could not have blown my mind any better then it did. I wasn’t using a recipe or trying to create something fantastic. I actually thought this was going to be a ‘bad smoothie’ that you end up drinking but not posting so nobody knows you can screw up smoothie recipes (or ingredients) so bad. Well, suprise – I’m awesome. Well… let’s tone it down a notch, my smoothie is awesome. And your gonna be awesome if you try it! Promise 😉
1 Apple (peeled, cored and sliced)
2 tbsp oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 Cup almond milk
1 tbsp superfood (maca, baobab, lucuma)
pinch of cinnamon
Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Serve in your favourite glass and enjoy!
