Healthy Living Series – 20 Delicious Desserts & Treats

I know it sounds crazy to hear (or read) healthy and dessert in the same sentence, but it’s true and it is possible! Desserts no longer need to be loaded with refined processed sugars, additives, high fructose corn syrup or any of that other nasty stuff. You can even find the most insanely delicious dessert gluten free, dairy free, egg free and vegan! It’s pretty awesome how far we’ve come in the world of health, it’s no longer this big scary undertaking to be healthy, there are so many more options out there now which is just really cool.

Even I can appreciate this shift towards a more healthy lifestyle, on my mini vacation this weekend I was able to continue to eat healthy and mostly plant based at the restaurants, shops and bakeries in the area. It seems they’ve either created new menu items or are willing to modify them to accommodate those with dietary restrictions and diet/lifestyle choices. There’s also a huge increase in vegan, gluten free and healthier bakeries which brings me to the purpose of this post! Desserts and treats can be healthy and yummy! I’ve listed the top 20 recipes I think you all will really enjoy and hope you have the chance to make a few of them too.

All recipes listed below are vegan/vegetarian friendly, gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free and are incredibly delicious.
