I’m loving add beets to everything right now! It creates such a beautiful shade of pink, and who doesn’t love pink! It’s so fun to ‘dress-up’ your food and get creative, your meals will never feel bland or boring.
Beets are fantastic root vegetables that have a natural deep purplish red colour. The are extremely high in fibre which is great for your digestive system as well as diabetics as fibre helps control the release of sugars to the blood stream. Beets are also very high in iron, a great food for us anemics to help boost our red blood cell production. Raspberries are also packed full of goodness including anti-oxidants which help our bodies fight diseases and aging. The two of these combined make for a very fantastic nutrient rich pink paradise!
1/2 Frozen Cup Raspberries
1 Banana (frozen if possible)
1 Cup Almond Milk
1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp Flax Seeds
1 Tbsp superfood (maca, lucuma or baobab)
1 Tbsp Protein Powder
Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until nice and smooth. Pour into your favourite glass and enjoy!
