I can honestly say this recipe was the first time I’d ever really tried sage. I mean, cooking with it. and using it as the main herb in the recipe. If you know me at all, I’m in love with basil. Hands down it’s my favourite herb – fresh or dried (although fresh is allllllways best!). So naturally, all my recipes include basil (of course when I post them I usually say you can use your choice of herbs, but know I always include basil). Well. Sage is incredible. I don’t know how I’ve never tried it before! It gives off this distinct deliciousness and paired with turmeric is just so perfect. I know this ones a winner and its even delicious the day after since the flavours have even more time to sit together and fall more in love.
Juice your lemon and add everything to a pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer for about 15 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed and the quinoa is nice a fluffy. Serve with the rest of your meal or enjoy all by itself!
