#GreenBeauty2015 Instaram Contest Winners

This past week I hosted one of my biggest giveaways for Green Beauty yet! The contest has now come to a close and I would sincerely like to thank everyone who took the time to share their green beauty tips and DIY recipes. I am so inspired by all of your posts and enjoyed checking out all of your beautiful photos. It was a very tough decision as I loved each and every one of your entries. I used random.org to help select both winners because it was a tough decision to make!

Without further delay here are the winners:

Abby is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who loves helping those with skin issues, including eczema, to look and feel better! She runs her profession through PrimePhysiqueNutrition.com and offers great tips and suggestions as well as podcasts on skin issues and nutrition. Abby likes to consider herself a huge foodie, she loves reading and constantly learning and maintaining an optimistic attitude!

#GreenBeauty2015 North American ‘True North Beauty’ Prize Winner: Carolyn @HonestlyCarolynMarie of California, U.S.A with her DIY face mask recipe!

Carolyn runs her blog HonestlyCarolynMarie.com and shares her passion for all things natural, organic and just straight up good for your skin and body. She loves rock climbing, taking pictures of anything and everything, going to Disneyland, catching up on her fave shows, reading and trying new restaurants!

Here are a few of my fave DIY Recipes and Tips from you guys!

Our Winner, Carolyn’s Recipe: Face Mask
If you have oily/acne-prone skin mix 1 tbsp. of Aztec Secret Indian Clay powder with a little more than 1 tbsp. organic apple cider vinegar (she uses Bragg’s). For normal skin, wait about 15 mins and for sensitive skin try waiting 5 mins. You will feel your skin tighten and pulsate and when time is up just grab a warm washcloth to gently wipe off the mask!

@Kelseybercher ‘s DIY Recipe: Face Mask
Grind Oats and dried calendula, mix with honey, apply to face, leave on for 12-20 minute, rinse with water. This mask moisturizes, exfoliates and kills bacteria!

@__Karla__ ‘s Tip: Use coconut oil and a makeup remover and for dry skin!

@Greenandgarbanzo ‘ s DIY Recipe: Natural Deodorant
Mix coconut oil, baking soda, arrowroot flour, Essential oils together, apply to under arms as needed. (For full recipe details see Greenandgarbanzo.ca

@Green_Life_in_Dublin ‘s DIY Recipe: Hair Mask
tsbp of each: manuka honey, castor oil, raw coconut oil and rosemary EO. Rub all ingredients onto hair, including scalp, it will condition nicely. Leave it in for at least 20 minutes to 2 hours. Shampoo twice.
