LoveFresh Review

Hello Lovelies!

Today I’m going to be sharing a feature on a green beauty company that I really love – LoveFresh! I had the opportunity to chat with Stacey, the Founder and Creator recently to get her take on Green Beauty and her brand. Stacey is a real go-getter and I really admire her drive and determination to provide non-toxic beauty products at affordable prices. She has an amazing selection and line-up of green beauty products and was ever so kind to send me her Moroccan Rose Natural Deodorant and Guava Hand Lotion to try! I’m very excited to share my thoughts on these 2 amazing products.

Here’s a few reasons why I love LoveFresh:

  1. They have a 100% all natural deodorant free of aluminum
  2. The products are a much better alternative to toxic beauty brands
  3. They don’t use parabens or petroleum
  4. The packaging is as fresh (and cute) as the ingredients
  5. I love supporting local Canadian beauty brands!

So now that you know why I love LoveFresh let’s look at their products in more detail below:

Moroccan Rose Natural Deodorant
This was the very first (ever) natural deodorant I’ve tried. It comes in a cute little jar and requires you to scoop it out with your finger tips and apply directly to your under arms (there is a new stick deodorant too, so for those of you who don’t want to apply skin to skin, you can now purchase in stick form). To be honest, using your fingers to apply anything to your under arms seemed quite gross and daunting at first, and a while ago you would have never convinced me to try such a thing. Ever since I’ve been exploring the natural beauty world however, I’ve really had a change of mind and heart. Now, I’ve been using aluminum deodorants my whole life, so it took a while to detox from that and really get used to this natural stuff but I seriously love this deodorant! The smell is delicious and pretty and soft, it stays fresh all day too!

One note is that these types of deodorants don’t stop you from sweating.. but this is a natural process, its how your body detox’s so I didn’t really mind. I actually felt a difference in my entire body after using this for a few days. I couldn’t believe how much clearer my body and mind felt. It seems crazy, but when you block something for so long, it can have quite a negative effect on your body (even if you don’t realize it). The main ingredients in this deodorant are shea butter, coconut oil and aluminum-free baking soda – all natural and non-toxic. The scents are also derived from essential oils so there’s no synthetic or toxic perfumes or fragrances used.

Ingredients: Fair Trade Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Arrowroot Flour, Sodium Bicarbonate (Aluminum-free Baking Soda), Kaolin Clay, Emulsifying Wax NE (coconut derived) and Natural Organic Essential Oil.

Stacey’s Comments: This all-natural deodorant will keep you smelling fresh all day long, we promise! By using this wonderful deodorant you will feel comfortable that you are not putting any harsh chemicals under a very *vulnerable* part of your body. It really, really works.

Guava Hand Lotion
This is a nice hand lotion to keep at my desk. I’ve found it to be quite moisturizing and what intrigued me to try it was the Kimchi ferment used to preserve the ingredients. Usually in beauty products synthetic and toxic chemicals are used to preserve the shelf life.. they are extremely harmful and can cause all kinds of issues. I loved that Stacey used a natural product to her benefit! The smell is very delicious, it’s very fruity and almost tropical, my only hesitation in using it going forward is that ‘fragrance’ is used and not essential oils, except for the spearmint scent, essential oils is used and no fragrance.

Ingredients: Water, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Capric/CapryllicTriglycerides, Emulsifying Wax NF, Glyceryl Stearate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Palm Stearate, Retinal Palmitate (Vitamin A), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Ergocalciferol (Vitimin D), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Silk Amino Acids, Vegetable Glycerine, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Water, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Sorbitol, Xanthan Gum, Allantoin, Lactobacillus Ferment (Fermented Korean Cabbage), Fragrance

Stacey’s Comments: Our avocado lotion is a rich, non greasy formula using a “Kimchi” as a natural preservative. This recipe will moisturize your skin, leaving it feeling hydrated and happy!

There you have it! 2 pretty awesome products that are natural, petroleum and paraben free. If you’d like to check out some of Stacey’s other products you can visit her website here!
