Probiotic Pomegranate & Kale Salad

If you’re looking for a bloat-free, gut-happy recipe – this is the one! This salad is so insanely delicious and rich in probiotics you’ll feel like a million bucks after you eat it!

Probiotics are so important for good health – these little bacteria buddies keep our digestive tract happy, healthy and functioning optimally. Here’s the thing: Most people don’t get enough probiotics in their daily diet! Unfortunately, even though mass-marketed products like yogurt and dairy-drinks brag about their probiotic benefits, they’re all lost in the pasteurization process. That’s why you still don’t feel ‘gut’ happy after you eat it. You need to get your probiotics from a natural, raw, unprocessed form – which we’ve used in this salad recipe! I hope you enjoy 🙂


For the Salad
4-5 Stalks of Kale
1/3 Cup Sauerkraut
1/4 Cup Pomegranates
1/4 Cup Cooked Chickpeas
Handful of Walnuts

For the Dressing
2 Large Tbsp of Tahini
1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Lemon Wedge
Pinch of Salt & Pepper

Wash your kale, de-stem and cut into bite-sized pieces and place it a bowl. Chop sauerkraut into smaller pieces (this will make it easier to eat and less messy!). Mix your dressing in a small cup or bowl. Pour the dressing in your salad bowl with the kale and massage into leaves with your fingers (this will ensure the kale is more tender and infuse the flavours better). Add your sauerkraut and remaining ingredients. Mix, serve and enjoy!
