Very Berry Acai Smoothie Bowl

If it weren’t for Organic Burst I probably never would have tried acai. When you start to venture into the world of health and healing with food you quickly discover that there’s just so much to learn! It could almost take you a life time to figure out what’s right for you, what makes your body happy and work optimally and what foods really heal the body. Acai is one of these healing foods. After much time and research and (testing) I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s worth its value.

Acai is an Amazonian fruit, sizing and colour similar to that of a grape. It is rich in Omega fatty acids (3, 6 and 9) and helps to reduce bad cholesterol naturally. It is a powerful anti-oxidant and is very beneficial when taken after workouts, since your body is under stress and needs to fight off more free-radicals. Acai is also gaining a lot of traction as a beauty miracle superfood! It’s powerful enough to help fight aging and wrinkles.

So, what are you waiting for? Get some acai and start making this health-powered smoothie bowl!

Ingredients:
1 Banana
1/2 Cup Raspberries
1/2 Cup Cherries
1/2 Cup Blueberries
1 Tbsp Acai Powder
1 Cup Almond Milk
Shredded Coconut for garnish

Method:
(Try to use as much frozen ingredients as possible, if fresh add a cup of ice)
Pit your cherries, add everything to a high speed blender and mix. Pour into a bowl and garnish with additional berries and sprinkle with shredded coconut.

    I love acai bowls! I did a post on it a while back as well after a friend told me about them. Yours looks beautiful!
