I loooooove this brand. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it. To-go smoothies made with fresh ingredients that taste delicious in cute little glass bottles. I have to admit it saved me more than once during our time in Germany as my boost of fruits and veggies! Eating in Germany is quite different from Canada, in some ways much better and in other ways… not so much. But, I’ll be sharing all about that in another post 😉 Today, I wanted to share with you all a brand I really enjoyed in Europe that hopefully some of you can get your hands on and try!
True Fruits is a brand based out of Bonn, Germany. They offer a delicious selection of smoothies blended with real fruits, vegetables and pure juices. Their intention was to provide healthy options to all including busy individuals who would usually grab a quick fast-food type meal or eat nothing at all.
True Fruits motto is ‘NO Tricks’ and it shows in their ingredients list. There are no concentrates, no dyes, no added sugars, no stabilizers or other unnatural nonsense in their smoothies. It’s a refreshing take on health!
Here’s a sneakpeak into some of the delicious flavours I was able to try during my visit to Germany:
Ingredients: Apple, Banana, Pink Dragonfruit & Guava
I actually loved this one! It was quite sweet but just right. The pink colour is amazing, especially knowing it’s simply from the fruits and no added weirdness. Very easy and refreshing to drink!
Ingredients: Orange, Apple, Banana, Mango & Passion Fruit
I’d forgotten I had this one in my bag as we were going through airport security so I had to drink it rather quickly but it was also delicious. Very fruity and refreshing, much like a smoothie I would make at home.
Ingredients: Apple, Banana, Orange, Raspberry, Black Currant, Blueberry & Blackberry
This one was fantastic! I loved that you could taste the berries. A lot of my smoothies usually include blueberries and raspberries so it kind of reminded me of home.
Ingredients: Apple, Banana, Cacao (Cocoa), Vanilla
I think this was my favourite smoothie! The taste was just insanely smooth and delicious. Carmel-ly and sweet and yummy. For such simple ingredients, this smoothie was bursting with flavor.
Green Smoothie #1
Ingredients: Matcha, Ginger, Kale, Pear, Spinach, Banana & Apple
My favourite of the two greens. The matcha flavor was well hidden and the great balance of greens to fruits was perfect for taste.
Green Smoothie #2
Ingredients: Chlorella, Mint, Carrot, Pear, Arugula, Mango & Apple
I really did enjoy this one too! The mint flavor was prominent but not overpowering. Initially I thought the idea of arugula in a smoothie would be not-so-good but the rest of the ingredients masked it quite well and it tasted very yummy.
Overall I was very impressed and kept going back for more! I’d recommend this as a healthy option to anyone who can get their hands on it.
