Antioxidant Power Smoothie

  
Hey look a recipe! I feel like these are far and few between these days.. I apologize! I’m working to bring you guys some more exciting foodie content but have been struggling the past few months with growing baby and time needed to create, shoot, edit, write and post said recipes. I feel like a lot of people have the perception that recipes are so easy and it shouldn’t be so difficult to post them.. On the other hand some people see professional quality photos of staged meals in recipe posts and feel overwhelmed that they’ll never be able to recreate the same thing! I honestly try to fall somewhere in between. I’m not a super pro at photography not at staging a table or set with food and props but I do try to make my photos appealing! Surprisingly my quality of photos still take me quite a few hours to produce behind the scenes, not to mention the effort behind the recipe! But! It’s all staged. It’s all for the photos.. The hours and hours I can spend making a granola smoothie bowl look pretty is really not the actual time I take when I make it on a daily basis to eat and enjoy! These meals really do take little time and effort (it’s all the magic behind the scenes to make it look pretty). So.. Don’t get discouraged if you feel like a recipe is too pretty for you! This is just something that’s been on my mind for a wee while so I thought I’d share! Now.. Onto the recipe! 

Ingredients: 

1 cup spinach 
1 frozen banana 
1/2 cup raspberries
1/2 cup blueberries
2 tbsp protein powder 
1/2 can full fat coconut milk 

Method: 

Mix it all up – pour into your favourite glass and enjoy!

    I definitely need to get on the smoothie bowl bandwagon! It looks so good! I will have to try this one out!

    Berries + Spinach/Greens + Bananas are one of my favorite smoothie combos! I’ve never tried the coconut milk before, though.I usually just do almond. I’m going to have to switch it up, though!
