Fibre is such an important part of our diets and yet it’s something a lot of us tend to forget about! It helps keep things moving through our digestive system which keeps the rest of our body happy and healthy. I know personally, during pregnancy when baby can start to squish and slow down the digestive system; taking in more fibre is crucial to feeling well and even more important to keeping things moving.

I’ll be the first to admit that I tend to forget to ‘add’ fibre to my diet at least in the sense that I don’t think about it. I don’t think about the amount of fibre in each meal or ingredient I eat as I mostly assume it comes with the healthy lifestyle! If you’re eating your fruits and veggies then you should have no problem. Well, that’s only kind of true. We should be conscious of our fibre intake and especially during such important times like pregnancy.
