Chocolate Avocado Pudding
I go through phases with sweets cravings. Sometimes it’s the real simple sugar rush of cake, cupcakes and donuts (I mean, Tori’s Bakeshop right?!) and then I’ll go through a healthier sweet kick with treats like this Chocolate Avocado Pudding! I had the craziest sweet tooth as a kid, but I’m not like those people who say that and their cravings were chocolate or chips or cookies.. no guys a real REAL sweet tooth for pure sugar candies. Candy, guys. Candy coated in candy. Like, all of it. I’ve still got a bit of that tooth, way way way back there but I do.
I find recipes like this help curb the cravings a bit. I’m not gonna lie and say I’m completely satisfied after indulging in a healthy treat when I’m really craving the bad stuff but with some will power afterwards I can avoid indulging. The one thing that stuck with me when I got on my health kick was what sugar does to your insides. Guys, it literally rots your gut. The best most important part of your body. And I’m sure you’ve all heard it before but, sugar makes you fat. Not that I’m all about fat, calories, weight or counting anything but too much body fat isn’t healthy and sugar fat is the worst kind.
So. I’ve got this recipe in my back pocket now and I’m sharing it with all of you! Now when you see that bag of avocados and think: they’re all gonna go ripe at the same time! You’ve got a recipe to use them up.
- 2 Avocados
- 2 Tbsp Cacao Powder
- 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
- 3 Pitted Medjooled Dates
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla
- Pinch of sea salt
- Shredded Coconut for topping
- De-pit the avocado and scoop out all that green goodness. Put all ingredients into a high speed blender or food processor and blend until nice and creamy. Scoop out into individual treat jars or a large airtight container. Store in the fridge for 3-4 days.
