Navigating Nashville in 1 Day

We packed four adults + an 8 month old baby and we were able to knock quite a few of our top spots off the to-see-and-do list during our trip to Nashville this past spring! I have to say its one of my all time favourite cities in America. There’s just something so home-y about the city, the people are so nice, there’s sunshine and souther accents. And of course it’s a big music city, actually.. it’s called the ‘Music City’ and for good reason! There are all kinds of spot you can visit to hear live music and entertainment. Of course, being a blogger I’m always looking for the most instagrammable spots to check out and I have to say, I found quite a few! Check out my recommendations below:

Franklin Juice

This is the perfect first stop on your Do-It-All-In-1-Day Nashville Guide. They open bright and early at 7am and offer healthy breakfast smoothies and smoothie bowls + delicious coffee. Probably most famous for their tasty acai smoothie bowls, which of course I had to try this stop does not dissapoint. It’s the perfect instagram paradise for foodies and bloggers alike so you’ll definitely be able to get some good brag worthy shots of your morning.

5 Daughters Bakery

A bit early for donuts.. perhaps.. but I say it’s never too early. Plus this quaint bakeshop is located only a 4 minute walk from Franklin Juice Co on 12th Ave so it’s a no brainer to visit next!

Trader Joe’s

Next on the list is a quick visit to the quirky organic supermarket Trader Joe’s to grab a few snacks and stock up on some healthy, organic staples at really affordable prices. We don’t have Trader Joe’s in Canada so it’s also somewhat of a novelty.

Blue Bird Cafe

First, yes this is the exact same cafe where they film the popular show Nashville. Second.. this stop won’t get you inside. Sorry, the cafe only opens at 5pm and there’s a $20 cover just to step foot inside. So, to save you some time and money head over here to snap some photos of the iconic cafe from outside! You can also sneak a peek inside but beware.. don’t touch the glass windows or you might be in for trouble.

Parthenon

Grab your Trader Joe’s snacks and park your ride by this incredible grecian replica situated in acres of greenery! If you get nice weather, bring a blanket and enjoy a small picnic in the park by the beautiful waterfront. This building is quite spectacular and offers so many great instagram worthy photo ops.

Biscuit Love

I have to have to have to recommend this place simply because it will be the best proof you’ll ever have to say you went to Nashville. Centred on the back wall of the restaurant are the iconic bulb lit letters that spell Nashville. You’ll definitely want to bring your camera to this place. While your there pick up their delicious Ice Tea Lemonade and their iconic Bronuts.

Whiskey + Water

Of course you’ve got to get a little shopping in so head over to this super cute boutique and pick up one of their quirky and cute Tee’s! They’ve also got a lovely selection of other clothing items, jewelry and accessories.

Grand Ole Opry

Lastly, but perhaps most important a visit to the Grand Ole Opry. This infamous building has hosted hundreds of iconic and uberfamous celebs and singers! They don’t call Nashville the ‘Music City’ for nothing! The grounds are perfectly manicured and there are a tonne of photo ops available including the 2 giant guitars situated near the entrance of the building. If you have time you can take the tour inside and head backstage, but if not – take a quick step into the giftshop and grab something to prove that you were there.

Amazingly, we actually visited and did all of the things I’ve suggested above. I still can’t quite believe how we all managed to budget our time so perfectly, especially with a baby! If we could do it, you could too. For sure.

Have you ever been to Nashville? Are there any other cute spots we should check out next time?

xx HBL
