Toddler Style – Cottage Comfy Toque

When the weather gets cooler there’s nothing better to me than a giant mug of coffee (and baileys) a cozy fire and a faux fur throw; add in a good book and an oversized couch to lounge on and I’m basically staying put, forever. Unfortunately that’s not how it works for a baby or a toddler or even a child.. they’ve got too much energy to just lounge around all day enjoying the warmth. We experienced this recently on a trip up north (yes, in November) but thankfully we went prepared to face the weather! If you haven’t been to Northern Ontario, btw, it’s incredibly beautiful! You’d be surprised to find places that make you feel like your not in Canada anymore.

We packed lots of layers and extra clothing for Elliot but the one piece of clothing we couldn’t go without was his Canoe + Lake toque. It’s absolutely the cutest most adorable toque out there for babies, toddlers and kids alike. With a great unisex style you can easily share it between your boy and girl kiddies, although I have a feeling they’ll each want one of their own.

I obviously can’t speak to the warmth factor specifically, because I wasn’t wearing it! I do know however, Elliot never cried or showed any indication he was cold or felt uncomfortable wearing the toque which is really important when your baby can’t talk yet. He’s also become incredibly picky about wearing hats (or hoodies, or long sleeves for that matter) but he always lets us put his toque on wears it while outdoors.

I’d highly highly recommend this to anyone who’s coming into winter weather and has or knows someone with a baby or kid in their life.
