Navigating Nashville: Germantown

I have to say, I’ve fallen quite hard for Nashville. We spent one day there this spring knocking off a huge bucket list of things to do and see in the Music City.. but there’s always more. This summer we ventured to Germantown to checkout quite a few little trendy hotspots. Nashville is absolutely beautiful, spring, summer, all year really. Germantown was exceptionally exciting as right not it’s an up and coming neighbourhood so there are lots of younger people, boutiques and hipster eateries. We absolutely loved it and wanted to share some of our favourite spots!

Navigating Nashville: Germantown

Barista Parlour

This boutique coffee shop is a must visit. It’s actually a small chain, with several locations scattered throughout Nashville with the location in Germantown featuring a simplistic exterior design along with bright white interiors and wood finishes. Its quite a stunning place to take all those instagram photos. Not to mention the chef-lab like coffee brewing set up they have going on. Plus, the coffee. Let’s just say if they had a location next to my house, I’d probably live there instead.

This cute little boutique shop is only a hop and skip away from Barista Parlour. It’s filled with trendy and hipster-esque fashion, accessories and home goods that would look good in just about anyones home. The jewelry is very very reasonably priced, I picked up one of their simple necklaces and absolutely love it. While it’s a shop that caters mostly to women there are a few items for men like neckties and flasks. It’s a very sweet shop!

Juice Bar

This place was just the best. Plus, is it really an adventure unless juice is involved. I simply have to find a juice bar everywhere we go. I love knowing that everything on the menu is going to healthy and I won’t have to compromise at all. Juice Bar is situated 1 shop down from another restaurant, slightly hidden from the main walking path but if you venture down you’ll find plenty of cozy and covered outdoor seating along with a ping pong table. Inside are some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. Id recommend the chocolate covered coconut treat in the to-go fridge! and a green juice of any kind. This place is also incredibly baby friendly, so don’t be shy if you need to nurse baby before you head off.

Bits & Pieces

We loved this place! An actual antique boutique filled with so many vintage finds and lots of affordable clothing options. It doesn’t look like much from outside and when you walk in you may think this place isn’t of you but I can promise you there has to be something in there for everyone. We picked up quite a few pieces from here and love them!

Alexis & Bolt

I cannot say enough good things about this shop except watch where you’re going because you can easily walk or drive past it. Alexis + Bolt is a boutique shop inside a converted older century home. Sale racks are laid out on the front porch while inside you’ll find room after room of fashion, accessories, home good and even furniture. The shop is elegantly decorated, filled with boutique fashion pieces you’d have a hard time finding else where. Staff members are friendly, including the sweet dog, Chloe. While my girlfriend and I shopped the guys were offered free beer on the rusted leather couch in the front room.

You may also be happy to note that this place is also baby friendly! If needed, you can use the luxurious change rooms to nurse your baby where you’ll find a quiet space and a cozy chair. We were very impressed with this shop and were happy it was our last one of the day to leave on such a positive note.

So, if you’re ever in Germantown in the beautiful city of Nashville, I’d highly highly recommend checking out all these places!
