Meet the Editor & Founder | Kate Alexander

I’m a suburban girl with a love of outdoors, avocados and sunshine! I absolutely love and embrace change. My ‘thing’ is switching it up every 2 years. I hardly stick to one thing for too long. I seek adventure, new-ness, balance. My blog is ever changing, currently focusing on all things Baby + Mom. I actually ‘work’ with a team of wonderful ladies, who you may see pop up on here from time to time, so feel free to say hello!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and ‘liking’ my “Whatโ€™s in My Plant-Based Medicine Cabinet?โ€ฆI Mean Pantry? Come on in and See!” blog. Your story is very inspirational and it’s wonderful that you’re sharing it. As I’ve shared my own story about healing my health issues through nutrition, I’ve been amazed at the number of people who say they’ve been helped by it. Yours will help others too! Thanks for sharing!

Kate! I love this. I could relate so much to what you wrote here especially your advice to not necessarily listen and assume the first doctor or first diagnosis/suggestion received is the best or most accurate. It’s interesting you took that away from your journey because I once had someone ask me what my boyfriend and I learned from his cancer diagnosis and my answer was similar. First and foremost I said we learned to change our diets, but second we learned to question everythinggg. Unfortunately there are big businesses out there hoping to make money off of the quick fix drugs and reactive treatments. From everything I have read over the past three years I think plant-based is the way to go and I really hope it continues to help alleviate some of your symptoms. Best of luck ๐Ÿ™‚ Keep it touch!

It’s so nice to meet other like minded people! and its so true, we really have to look out for ourselves, unfortunately the healthcare system doesn’t do its best for us. I wish you and your boyfriend all the best ๐Ÿ™‚ I look forward to reading more of your posts too!

Wow! What a story! I’m so glad you are feeling better now. Thank you visiting my blog, and the like on my post that led me to your blog. Although I am not a vegan I do like to eat lots of fruits, veggies and nuts. I also been helped by a Chiropracter multple times, actually right now I’m going through a treatment. I’ll follow and keep learning with your recipes and tips.

Hi Kate! I am new to this blog. For the past 2 years, I have been dealing with a few new health issues myself. Inflammation is one, fatigue, restless sleep and just recently I learned I have allergic reactions to rice and eggs. I have made several healthy lifestyle changes and feel better than before but would like to improve in the areas I mentioned above. I have skimmed through some of your material especially your recipes which look amazing- can’t wait to try! One question I have for you is about protein. I’m not sure if I will totally eliminate chicken and fish but who know what the future will hold. I’m not a fan of soy either. Thanks – Dani

Hi Dani! Thanks for sharing, I am glad to hear your making some healthy changes ๐Ÿ™‚ There are a variety of non-animal protein sources (nuts, seeds, vegetables, legumes, beans), just do your research and try to find something that works best for you! Have a great day.
