Meet the Editor & Founder | Kate Alexander
Blogging never stemmed from a study of, educational background or career in writing, for me it began when I decided to share my journey to ultimate health and wellness. For many this comes in different ways, different strides, but for me it was a case of Endometriosis and a desire to feel well, live well, eat well and be the best me I could be.
I started eating better, more organic, more raw, more plant based foods. For a while I identified myself as Vegan. I no longer use labels to describe my diet, I find it easier that way to continuously eat healthy and balanced. As I continued on this journey, I discovered the world of Health and Wellness was so much more than food. It’s your surroundings, your mood, skincare, household products. Everything around us either makes us feel well or makes us feel unwell. I’ve created this space to share all the wellness knowledge I can. As a way to inspire everyone to be the best of themselves.
So, where do I begin? With an education in accounting, my background has always been numbers. I never had one of those really cool jobs, you know, Flight Attendant, PR girl, Travel guru. I was a commuter, an unhappy one at that. I’ve since moved on to a better work-life balanced, but I’m always striving for more.
I absolutely love and embrace change. My ‘thing’ is switching it up every 2 years. I hardly stick to one thing for too long. I seek adventure, new-ness, balance. Feeling well however, has inspired something in me to not change. I will not change healthy habits for bad, I will not change feeling well for not feeling well. I have embraced something in my life that I strive to never change: Health + Wellness.
